GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Sheffield, S9. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may face challenges in managing their behaviour, helping them develop positive coping strategies and engage fully in their education. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Support students with behavioural and emotional difficulties both in and outside the classroom. Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster engagement and academic success. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to ensure effective support for students. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs is desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with students and staff. Patience, resilience, and a positive, proactive approach to behaviour management. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
