The Trainee Electronics Assembler Role
Orion is proud to be supporting TechPoint, one of the UK’s largest independently owned electronics and components manufacturers, in their search for a Trainee Electronics Assembler to join the team at their brand-new, world-class facility in Basingstoke.

Responsibilities
* Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 & 3)
* Using X-Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints
* Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures
* Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines
* Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately
* Using the company’s computer-based system to record production notes and log time
* Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards
Experience Required
* Desirable: Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards
* Essential: Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
* Essential: Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
* Essential: Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
* Desirable: Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
