We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in East Ham, starting ASAP. The school has a well-established SEN provision and works closely with families and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. Senior leadership is highly supportive, and staff benefit from ongoing training and professional development.
As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver personalised learning programmes, working closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other professionals to ensure pupils receive high-quality, inclusive education in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver personalised lessons to pupils with SEN
* Adapt the curriculum to meet individual learning needs
* Support pupils with academic, social, and emotional development
* Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external agencies
* Implement and review EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans
* Assess and track pupil progress using appropriate strategies
* Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers
* Contribute to SEN reviews, meetings, and school planning
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusion policies

The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs
* Have a strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching strategies

* Be dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
