Position: Environmental Permitting Manager (12‑month fixed‑term contract) – based in Quorn, Leicestershire, with the option to work remotely.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide technical advice on the permits and licences required for new and existing operations in collaboration with the Operational, Strategic Planning and Circularity teams.
* Manage and deliver a wide variety of permit and licence applications.
* Identify regulatory changes and guidance that require new permits or affect existing permits and advise the business on required actions to remain compliant.
* Provide expert advice to the business on technical issues relating to permit conditions or associated environmental legislation.
* Build and manage relationships with regulators.
What We Are Looking For
* Good communication skills.
* Self‑starter.
* Strong project management and collaboration skills.
* A relevant degree in an environmental or science‑related field.
Practical Experience
* Managing permit applications and liaising with the Environment Agency and other regulators.
* Knowledge of environmental legislation including the Environmental Permitting Regulations, guidance, practices and procedures.
* Experience in the minerals, waste or water sector.
