We are seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of a portfolio, ensuring that the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
As a key member of our team, you will identify and recognize business and sales opportunities, support Partners and Senior Managers in the development of new business relationships and business proposals through high-level sales and marketing activity.
You will also recruit, retain, develop and motivate our employees, which includes participating in graduate recruitment, ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines and ensuring appropriate objectives and development plans are in place for counselees.
In addition, you will work as part of a management team with other Audit Managers within the business group, contributing to resource planning, merit rate meetings and efficiency gains.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working proactively and managing their own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners.
The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements, experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
A strong project management background is also essential for this role.
