Auto CAD Site Engineer - 3D / 2D CAD Site Engineer
Location: Reading
Contract: 6 months- Outside IR35
An excellent opportunity for an experienced 3D and 2D CAD Engineers has arisen onsite with one of our clients for an ongoing Mechanical and Electrical package in a nuclear environment near Reading. This role is placed within Nuclear industry experience and will be 6 month contract - Outside IR35.
Due to the nature of the job you should be willing to obtain SC clearance.
Role
As a 3D / 2D CAD Site Engineer you will support project managers to ensure outsourced design meets requirement. Ensure project scope is satisfied effectively and follow strict adherence to customers specification and standards. You will review Issued design and process documents.
Main Responsibilities
The 3D engineer or CAD Engineer will be responsible to work alongside design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose and identify design solutions. Peer to peer review of sub-contractor produced drawings and documentation against project specification requirements.
You will raise and manage Technical Queries through to completion. Help develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and suppliers, including the identification, assessment, and integration of new sub-contractors.
Witnessing factory acceptance tests and projects sign off. Supporting the scheduling and tasking information to the Lead Engineers and Project Managers to support project delivery
Work on muti system supporting and construction drawings using various software packages: AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Plant 3D, NAVIS Works, Point Cloud data, Clash detection, Model Integration.
Experience & Qualifications
* The 3D engineer or CAD Engineer will have minimum of a Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
* Preferable experience from highly regulated industries
* Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance as a minimum
* Strong, demonstrable understanding of all phases of a project life cycle
* Able to approach engineering challenges pragmatically and efficiently, working with electrical engineers to ensure the integrated design realises the operational requirements of the specification.
* Holds CSCS Card, Awareness of PLC’s, Technical writing
* Working knowledge of principles of electrical safety, such as the 18th Edition and BS EN 13849
* Able to interpret detailed technical specifications.
* Preferably with experience within an ISO 9001 environment and conversant in pertinent standards.
