Job Purpose
Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.
Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Nicola is looking for dedicated and compassionate support staff to help her transition from living with her parents into her own home, a truly exciting and significant milestone in her life.
About this opportunity
Nicola is a happy, friendly and energetic young person who will be finishing school at the end of June and beginning an important new chapter. She is developing her independence and, with the right support and encouragement, can achieve great things.
Nicola enjoys a range of activities, including:
1. Swimming
2. Trampolining
3. Baking
4. Eating out, especially at a carvery
She can be very independent with some support, but benefits from regular encouragement to help her build confidence and try new things.
Communication
Nicola communicates in non-traditional ways and has a strong understanding of photos and symbols. Support staff will play an important role in using these methods to help her express herself, make choices and engage in daily life
Nicola is looking for staff who are:

7. Encouraging and positive in their approach
8. Observant and responsive to communication through behaviour
Experience of working with people with autism and/or individuals who communicate through behaviours would be preferred.
