We’re working with a leading building services contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to lead site-based delivery teams.
This role would also suit a Mechanical Site Engineer or Site Manager looking to step up into a Construction Manager position.
The Role
As Construction Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for site delivery, leading installation teams and subcontractors across all construction phases.
You will:
1. Lead and manage site-based construction and installation activities
2. Oversee projects from design, engineering and procurement through to completion
3. Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with specifications
4. Drive programme performance, ensuring key milestones are achieved
5. Manage subcontractors, labour and site resources effectively
6. Monitor quality, productivity and site standards
7. Support commercial teams with variations, progress reporting and cost control
8. Lead site meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
9. Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures
10. Oversee commissioning, snagging and project handover
You will have:
11. Proven experience in a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Senior Site Engineer role within MEP / Building Services
12. Strong mechanical bias
13. Experience delivering projects from installation through to commissioning and handover
14. Background managing subcontractors and site teams on live projects
15. Solid understanding of programme delivery, site logistics and project coordination
Technical Knowledge
16. Strong understanding of building services systems and MEP installations
17. Experience with method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work
18. Knowledge of commissioning processes and procedures
19. Understanding of construction contracts and commercial awareness
20. Familiarity with BIM processes and project coordination tools
Qualifications
21. NVQ Level 3 in Construction Site Supervision or similar
22. HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Services / Engineering
23. CSCS (Black Card / ECS / JIB)
24. Relevant Health & Safety qualification
25. SMSTS or equivalent
26. Full UK driving licence
