A smaller consultancy that has been established for over 3 years. Ran by an ambitious chartered arboriculture professional who is looking to add a consultant with the same mindset to their business.
They work in the Midlands and South but function across the UK. They are based near the West of the peak district and are well-connected to the northern and midlands major cities.
Your new role
You'll have an independent hand in exciting projects ranging from residential developments of around 8,000 units to unique urban greening.
You'll be conducting surveys such as:
1. Subsidence investigations;
2. H&S tree risk management / Visual Tree Assessment (VTA);
3. BS5837 data, plans etc.
You'll also be writing the relevant reports for the above project and managing your own work to ensure you learn and develop – you won't be held back, but you will be strongly supported. You'll liaise with clients and, though it won't be a requirement, conduct business development. Any work brought on will be favourable and rewarded.
What you'll need to succeed
4. A relevant qualification such as FdSc Arb,, or Technician’s Certificate in
5. Arboriculture (or higher) in arboriculture or a closely related field.
6. Membership of the Arboricultural Association or the Institute of Chartered Foresters. (Desirable)
7. Proven experience in BS5837 surveys, tree condition assessments, and report writing.
8. Strong understanding of health and safety issues related to arboricultural work.
9. Experience with database asset management software and tablet-based data collection.
10. Knowledge of assessing trees for potential bat roosting habitats.
11. Full UK Driving Licence and vehicle
12. A can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and organise your own diary
What you'll get in return
