Finance Director
to join the senior leadership team.
The Role
As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial operating strategy and ensuring the continued profitability and sustainability of the business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee a team of
3–4 Financial Controllers
and act as a key partner to the Board, providing insight, challenge, and guidance on both financial and commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–4 Financial Controllers, ensuring delivery of robust financial management across the business.
* Report to and work closely with the CFO, providing strategic financial insight and recommendations.
* Drive best-in-class financial control, reporting, and compliance across the group.
* Develop and implement strategic financial plans to support growth, profitability, and cash flow.
* Provide commercial analysis to inform decision-making on pricing, margins, supplier negotiations, and investment opportunities.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
* Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders.
* Act as a key member of the Leadership Team, contributing to broader business strategy.
About You
* A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
with significant post-qualification experience at Finance Director level, ideally within the IT reseller, distribution, or technology sector.
* Proven track record in driving commercial and operational improvements in a high-growth environment.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing multiple Financial Controllers or senior finance professionals.
* Excellent communication and influencing abilities, able to partner effectively across all levels of the business.
* Hands-on, adaptable, and commercially minded, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the IT reseller market.
