Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for an experienced and committed Pastry Chef to work for a fast-growing dessert company in Reading, Berkshire
Role: Pastry Chef (Experienced)
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Hours: Full-time - 8-9 hours per day (5-6 days per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities of the Pastry Chef:
1. Daily preparation and baking of desserts and cake products
2. Designing and decorating customised cakes, including 3D themes
3. Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained
4. Managing live cake customisation in-store
5. Maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
6. Coordinating with the store and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
About you:
7. Skilled in baking and cake decoration (including fondant & 3D work for experienced candidates)
8. Freshers with basic knowledge of baking and cake decoration are welcome
9. Passionate about desserts, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
10. Willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
11. Must have a valid UK visa and be eligible for full-time work
12. Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and long-term commitment.
