A reputable family amusement park is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in the maintenance and repair of its wide range of machinery and equipment to keep the site running. The Maintenance Technician will have completed a mechanical qualification, have previous demonstrable experience in engineering, and be able to read and understand technical drawings. In addition, the Maintenance Technician is able to work at heights, is very hands-on, highly professional and customer-facing. Further requirements are listed below.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical maintenance and repairs are correctly and properly carried out and recorded
Diagnose mechanical and/or electrical faults or technical problems
Ensure that machines are operated to their maximum potential
Be a decision maker within the park’s maintenance and inspection environment
Ensure that the park operates day to day within health and safety legislation
Learn and assist the maintenance manager in the documentation of inspection and maintenance works on attractions, both on tablets/computers and in writing
React to an emergency. Coordinating the response of staff and liaising with emergency services if required.
Promote the correct Company image
Ensure customers are safe and happy
Check and monitor levels of spares holdings and liaise with office staff or suppliers to ensure that sufficient spares are in stock or ordered to help to eliminate machine downtime.
Assist and advise the maintenance team lead and directors with safety-related procedures and practices
Instruct and be a role model for any junior members and the maintenance team
Cover any duties in your control in the event of staff absences or emergencies, and carry out duties at the request of the Directors
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Completed a minimum level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Have demonstrable practical engineering experience for 5 years
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Need to be able to do a full range of mobility due to machinery inspection duties
Able to work at heights up to 10m high
Is very hands-on and has excellent attention to detail
Happy to work in varying weather conditions
Have a proactive, planned, preventative maintenance mindset
Hold a full driving license B / B1
Desirables:
Either have a counterbalance forklift, access equipment and a PASMA licence
First Aid at Work
Any tool operation, workshop or fabrication qualifications
Have previous experience in electrical engineering
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 DOE
