Transport Supervisors (Lowestoft) We’re entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for proactive and people-oriented Transport Supervisors to join our Operations Team. You’ll play a vital role in overseeing the safe and efficient flow of our drivers and services from depot to road and back again. You’ll be the go-to person for on-the-ground leadership, keeping safety, service quality, and customer experience at the heart of everything you do. Shift pattern: rotational 4 on 4 off shift pattern (including weekends) Working hours: 39hrs over 4 days, start & finish times will vary between 0400 – 2115hrs 12 month fixed term contract with a view to becoming permanent. Summary of main responsibilities: • Championing behavioural safety and having positive safety conversations with colleagues whilst challenging unacceptable behaviours • Supervising and recording daily vehicle arrivals and departures • Identifying and resolving daily operational issues including scheduling and allocation, vehicle issues and driver queries • Escalating key concerns which cannot be resolved immediately to your line manager whilst providing proactive suggestions for resolutions in a timely manner • Proactively engaging with customers, giving information about service arrivals and departures and managing queues • Completing an accurate and concise record of passenger numbers Skills / experience required: Essential: • Supervisory experience • Good understanding of IT • A flexible approach to working hours as we are likely to become a 24/7 business. Desirable: • Experienced in delivering a high level of customer service and dealing with complaints • Management experience Qualifications / knowledge required: Essential: • Driving Licence • IOSH Working Safely (Training can be provided) • Banks Person Trained (Training can be provided) Desirable: • Influencer Training • L3 Team Leader qualification • PCV/CPC Licence Holder • First Aid Trained • CSCS/CCNSG (Training Provided) • Level 3 Health & Safety Supervisor • Knowledge of the transport sector Please note: All employees must be willing to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks and hold or obtain a DBS certificate.
