Job Title: Buyer
Location: Telford
Hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full purchasing process, including sourcing quotes, assessing suppliers, and raising purchase orders efficiently.
* Protect production continuity by closely monitoring delivery schedules and preventing supply disruptions.
* Ensure all materials meet required specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
* Resolve pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, and non-conformance issues swiftly and effectively.
* Proactively chase, expedite, and track orders with suppliers.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and full traceability.
Experience & Requirements:
* Strong negotiation skills with clear, professional communication.
* Experience using MRP / ERP / SAP systems.
* Experience purchasing electrical components is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail with a collaborative, solutions focused mindset.
* Calm, organised, and effective when working in a fast-moving, high-pressure setting.
