What we’re looking for We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. Our Food Coordinator is a key member of the food team. You’ll spend most of your time in the heart of where it all happens at Pret – our development kitchen! We are also in the process of building a new kitchen space so you will be a part of setting up this new space. Preparing Pret products in our development kitchen - from testing multiple recipe versions to timing production runs and creating items for marketing or PR meetings. Managing the development kitchen through following HACCP and Pret Kitchen standards, collecting ingredients from our local Pret shop, restocking packaging and ingredients, performing weekly deep cleans and maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient workspace. Supporting Food Developers and the Executive Chef with small-scale projects, including research and product development. Managing internal systems to ensure How-to cards and other operational tools are up-to-date and available for each launch. Assisting in the creation of How-to cards — taking step-by-step photos and drafting layouts that guide our Pret Kitchen teams. Keeping the ‘pantry list’ (our shop kitchen ingredients) current as it evolves with each new launch. Support the running of our weekly ‘Food Meeting’ where we spend every Thursday tasting every product that is being worked on! You will support through setting up the agenda and note taking during the session. Ordering ingredients weekly to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked for the food team’s needs. Coordinating logistics for incoming samples and preparing them for use. Collaborating with the culinary team to refine recipes based on internal feedback. Maintaining the Pret innovation library — tracking new book releases and sharing updates with the wider team. Working 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM — starting early to set up the kitchen for the day ahead.
