Highly successful private school, with an outstanding educational record, require experienced IT Support Engineer for a key position working within beautiful school grounds in Chertsey Surrey.
About the role
The IT Support Engineer will work within a small friendly team assisting staff and pupils with a variety of IT Support problems and to ensure all IT hardware and software utilsed by teachers, pupils and office staff remain fully functional at all times. Key duties include:
* Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for a variety of computing devices including IPAD, Apple Mac, Windows computers and printers
* Maintaining different IT Networks within the school
* Regularly providing maintenance to existing hardware and school computer systems
* Installing and configuring new IT software and software upgrades
* Maintaining the school IT manual and writing reports on the status of all software and hardware
* Carrying out diagnostics tests on malfunctioning hardware or software
* Executing security checks on all systems
* Managing all phases of assigned IT projects and assisting other staff with projects as required
* Taking part in a variety of meetings, training sessions, and seminars as required
* Administering confidential information including the staff and pupil database
* Maintaining and upgrading IT systems by ensuring that current systems are updated and running smoothly.
About you
* Graduate calibre you will already have a proven track record in 2nd and 3rd line IT support and have the ability to solve more complex IT problems within a highly challenging and very busy working environment
* In addition you will be a personable team player with the ability to work well with others and build positive relations across different departments
* Knowledge or IPAD and Apple MAC devices is essential and previous experience within the Education Sector is advantageous.
