We are recruiting for a Complementary Therapist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This is an exciting opportunity for a registered Complementary Therapist to work within the Cancer Services at Lister Hospital to improve patients' physical, psychological and emotional well‑being through this specialist service.
We are looking for a compassionate, organised and professional Complementary Therapist to join our very special team at the Lister Cancer Centre. This unique role allows the right person to use their skills and commitment to deliver holistic, individually tailored care to patients, either in the treatment chairs or our purpose‑built Cura Garden Room.
Our clinical teams are proud to put patients and their loved ones at the heart of everything we do. We are proud that our specialist care is not only about cancer treatments but about managing symptoms using a supportive and holistic approach to patient‑centred care.
If you are looking to take on a role where every day you can see the difference you have made to people's lives, come and join us.
At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve. We encourage you to embrace these values throughout the recruitment process and in your role with us.
Main duties of the job
You will empower patients to gain increased feelings of self‑worth, maximise their potential and take control of the life they have in a way that is meaningful to them.
This role has been established for two years and we are looking to develop this service offering unique complementary therapies.
You may work either from the Cura Garden Room base or within our treatment area offering face‑to‑face contact with patients while they receive their medical treatment. The role will involve using pre‑complementary therapy assessments to ensure safe, appropriate complementary therapy is provided to all patients.
