Job Introduction
We are looking for a Senior Sales & Events Coordinator to join the team at Kents Hill Park, a beautiful venue, part of The Venues Collection.
Salary: £28k per annum.
Role Expectations:
* Lead training and development of new team members to meet company standards during probation.
* Support the Sales Office Manager in achieving venue targets and supporting the team.
* Assist in delivering monthly financial results through strategic planning of rates and diary management.
* Support in creating and completing weekly and monthly reports, including forecasts and business reviews.
* Respond to electronic enquiries promptly and work with E-sales coordinators to maximize conversions.
* Develop rate strategies for M&E aligned with budget expectations.
* Handle reservations for both event and transient guests.
* Attend mandatory and role-specific training.
* Provide high levels of customer care before and during events.
* Maximize sales and revenue by proactively pursuing sales opportunities.
* Respond to customer enquiries within venue guidelines.
* Manage diary efficiently to optimize conference yield.
* Maintain sales information via Opera following company guidelines.
* Attend communication and operational meetings representing the sales department.
* Support invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
* Assist the Director of Sales/Sales Manager with new business leads and client events.
* Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
* Be aware of competitor offerings to promote the venue effectively.
* Comply with health and safety legislation, report issues, and participate in training.
* Know safety procedures and support wider venue safety protocols.
* Support wider operations and undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by HOD or Hotel Manager.
