We’re Pip & Nut (& you could be too). We make the best nut butters & snacks you can get your paws on. Beginning Pip started Pip & Nut in 2015. After whizzing up nut butters at home (using natural ingredients & nothing else) she was onto something tasty. Her friends agreed. Her family agreed, and soon the people of London’s Maltby Street Market agreed. The word - and the nut butter - started spreading. Fast. We leapt onto the shelves of Selfridges. Then Sainsbury’s. Then Wholefoods & Ocado. Then Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Co-Op, Tesc- you get it. Middle We’re in every UK supermarket, but we’re not done yet (that’s why we need you). We want to keep growing while showing people that tasty food can be good for you & the planet. We’re a B Corp after all. That’s not just a pretty badge. Better business is an all-day, everyday mindset. Next We’re nimble: we’re the number one & fastest growing nut butter brand in the UK. We’re tenacious: next up, we’re taking over snacking. We’re a B Corp & proud: we’re doing all of that while looking after people & the planet. 10% of our profits go to The Pip & Nut Foundation to support organisations tackling hunger & loneliness in communities. The squirrels are taking over. Are you in? What you’ll be doing We’re obsessed with food. Not just any old food. Un-put-down-able, one-more-spoon-able, properly tasty food. That’s where you come in. As part of our Product team you’ll be tasting, testing & tasting again, to make sure every tub, jar, cup & bar meets our Top Nut standards. You’ll be obsessed with quality: working on specific product improvement projects, checking out customer feedback & making sure all your good work is captured in our quality records. In a nutshell, you’ll be: A chief taster – getting hands-on (& spoons-in) to make sure our food is hitting a 10/10 taste. A squirrel detective - working with our Brand team to track & manage customer feedback as well as keeping a beady-eye on any trends that need flagging for our Product Technologists to investigate. Keeping things on track – creating non-conformance reports for our manufacturers & helping us investigate how we can do things even better. Recording the nitty gritty details - keeping up with our quality records & making sure product specifications updated with any new changes. A product improvement pro – supporting our Technical Team on key quality improvement projects. Things we’re looking for (skills & credentials): BSc in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Manufacturing / Chemical Engineering Keen on Health & Safety & Quality. Plus a good knowledge of Quality & Food Safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, BRC) Trend spotter. You’ll need to be able to use Microsoft Office & specifically Excel for analysing quality trends. Beady-eyed taste-tester. You have an eye for detail & can spot when things aren’t up to quality standards. Hold Up. Squirrel Energy is at the centre of everything we do. Inside & outside The Nest. It’s what we value in our individual squirrels & how we want to be seen as a whole. Our four values get into the nutty gritty of what squirrel energy is. Have a read: All Paws Together: While we may be individual creatures, our team spirit is infectious.
