Job Description:
1. Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach creative, well-structured lessons that inspire a love of learning and meet the needs of all pupils.
2. Promote High Standards: Set clear expectations for behaviour and achievement, fostering a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
3. Support Academic Progress: Use formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress and inform next steps in learning.
4. Encourage Independence: Develop pupils’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills through a broad and balanced curriculum.
5. Work Collaboratively: Engage with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with a strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum (desirable)
* Be a confident and reflective practitioner, committed to continuous professional development.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a child-centred approach to teaching and learning.
* Be committed to safeguarding and child welfare, holding a current DBS check (or willing to obtain one).
* Be creative, organised, and enthusiastic about making learning meaningful and memorable.
