SEN Teaching Assistant - Schools Across Wellingborough
Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils across schools in Wellingborough.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs thrive in their education and personal development. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils who require additional support in the classroom or within specialist provisions.
We work with a wide range of schools in Wellingborough supporting children with needs including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Physical Disabilities and Mobility Needs
Social, Emotional and Mental Health Challenges (SEMH)
No direct school-based experience is required. We welcome applications from individuals who have supported people with SEN in other settings such as residential care homes, youth work, support work, community care, or family support roles. What matters most is your patience, empathy, and commitment to helping children succeed.
Key responsibilities may include providing 1:1 support, assisting with classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour, and helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and communication skills.
