What Does the Role Look Like?
As we’ve expanded and grown our Chatham site, we’ve identified the need for a dedicated, experienced Deputy Manager. You’ll be supporting the Registered Manager to oversee their allocated locations and working closely alongside the Support Teams to provide care to our supported individuals, setting exemplary standards of care and helping to drive our Core Values – Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
To help achieve this, you’ll be at the heart of the operation, drafting rosters, maintaining and monitoring paperwork ready for audit and playing a key role in the review and drafting of support plans, risk assessments and other key documents regarding the people we support.
You’ll also be assisting in the line management of Support Workers and other team members who provide care to supported individuals, including conducting supervisions, return to works, and light investigatory duties.
About You
Ideally, you’ll already be qualified to the QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care as a minimum, with a possibility or ability to work towards the Level 5 and have high levels of experience working within the care sector, preferably within Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Challenging Behaviour.
You’ll need to be a confident communicator, able to lead and motivate your team and show flexibility and creativity in the way you approach things. Every one of the people we support Unique, and we aim to make every day Special. It’s our company motto, and something we all believe in.
At LDC Care Co we pride ourselves on our value-based approach, so we are looking for individuals who are as passionate about providing exceptional levels of care and promoting independence as much as we are! Individuals who are caring, passionate, organised and fair would complement this role.
About Us
Providing support to highly complex individuals is what we do best. At LDC Care Co we understand that providing the best person-centred support provides the best opportunities for achieving life goals and personal milestones, and this has been a part of our ethos for the last 26 years.
Everything we do centres around our 4 Core Values – Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. They are the foundations that everything else is built on and have been critical in us becoming the company we are – providing specialist care and support in more than 70 supported living settings across Kent.
With multiple CQC ratings of ‘Outstanding’ we are proud of our ability to provide high quality care to individuals who have struggled to maintain other mainstream placements or have spent time within secure settings, and reintegrate them back into the wider community to pursue social, personal, or vocational development opportunities.
