About the Role
MOLA is experiencing rapid growth and is recruiting enthusiastic Archaeologists to join our Stansted field team. We offer mentoring and training at all levels to develop skills and career prospects, with opportunities for advancement and specialization.
The role involves excavating and recording archaeological features across various periods and project types, following MOLA procedures. Training may include using GPS for recording features, with opportunities to engage in post-excavation work.
Work will be based at the MOLA Stansted office, with projects across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and beyond. Transport, subsistence, and accommodation costs for away work are covered as per MOLA policy.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience with archaeological recording systems and fieldwork, especially on commercial projects
* Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
* A commitment to a safe, positive, and inclusive work environment
* Willingness to drive for MOLA (preferred)
Start dates are available throughout May, with early applications encouraged. Contracts are initially for six months, with potential for extension.
