Area Sales Representative required for JWS Industrial & Welding Supplies Ltd
The successful candidate will manage sales within a designated territory, build strong customer relationships, and drive sales of welding supplies by providing technical advice and product demonstrations to meet customer needs. This role requires strong sales experience, technical knowledge of welding equipment and consumables, excellent communication skills, and the ability to achieve sales targets. Key responsibilities include new business development and account management and understanding industry trends.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills-
Sales & Business Development:
* Focus on both managing existing accounts and developing new business to meet sales targets.
Customer Needs Assessment:
* Work with customers to understand their specific welding requirements and recommend appropriate equipment and supplies.
Product Expertise:
* Utilise knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and metalworking processes to provide technical advice and support.
Sales Presentations & Demonstrations:
* Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of welding equipment.
Customer Support & Training:
* Provide ongoing support and training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of purchased equipment.
Negotiation & Order Processing:
* Negotiate pricing and manage the entire sales cycle, including taking and processing sales orders.
Team Collaboration:
* Support internal sales teams and collaborate with other functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Desired skills and qualifications
* Proven experience in business-to-business sales, ideally within the welding, engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries.
* A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
* Strong knowledge of welding processes and a wide range of welding and metalworking equipment.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong desire to exceed sales targets.
* The ability to negotiate pricing and terms to close deals successfully.
* Technical aptitude and the ability to demonstrate welding equipment.
* Proficiency with computer software for sales orders, quotations and customer data management.
* A full UK driver's license.
