Responsibilities
* The post is offered as 10 programmed activities (PAs) over five days and you will be part of the general medical on call rota.

Qualifications and experience
* Essential: MRCP or equivalent qualification
* Essential: Full GMC registration with license to practice
* Essential: Medical Degree
* Essential: Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (within 6 months of interview) or CESR
* Desirable: MD or equivalent higher degree or evidence of relevant research
* Desirable: Substantive NHS experience
Eligibility and professional practice
* Essential: Eligible to work in the UK
* Essential: Experience in teaching and supervising medical students and junior trainees
* Desirable: Experience of supervising SpRs/specialist trainees; higher teaching qualification
* Essential: Experience of undertakings audits and presenting findings; ability to critically review and apply research to clinical situations
* Essential: High level of clinical experience in Gastroenterology +/- general medicine
