Position Summary Why join our team? Samsung is on a strong growth trajectory in D2C across Europe, with ambitions to further accelerate. For this we need to bring to market key innovations across all D2C/Ecommerce levers (e.g. Performance Marketing, CRM, UX, Affiliates, Social/Influencers, Partnerships, Website and App capabilities) and expand these across the region. These innovations can emanate from Suwon (Samsung HQ), industry trends, regional and subsidiary implementations – in addition to the knowledge and experience of the role holder. As such we are looking for an experienced digital/D2C leader with exceptional Ecommerce skills to drive this accelerated growth. Providing strategic leadership and be at the forefront of driving a high-reaching regional growth agenda. Role and Responsibilities Your Key Responsibilities: The role of the Head of D2C Sales Innovation is to drive forward short, mid and long term sales innovations for the MX D2C business across Europe. Drive balanced growth by growing revenue, unit volume, conversion rate, and ECO attachment rate through the D2C channel across 16 European subsidiaries! The role holder is responsible for identifying, shaping and coordinating the trialing of and expansion of key sales innovation initiatives to fuel the next stage of D2C growth across all Mobile Experience (MX) product categories (smartphones, tablets, wearables and computing). Specific responsibilities include; ·Identification of key D2C trends and initiatives to drive strategic growth, e.g. Live/Social commerce as a new channel to market. ·Concept, plan and support the trial and execution of new sales innovations in a robust, meticulous and timely manner. This will involve trend identification through research, strategy and concept development in partnership with relevant teams in Suwon, subsidiary and the region (e.g. Legal, UX and platform teams) to assess feasibility and the commercial implications. ·Initiate innovations through collaborative working with relevant team members to gain feedback, insight, buy-in and dedication to trial. For example working with regional digital media and subsidiary PIC’s to trial activity in the fields of; CRM, data driven marketing, re-targeting, Social media, influencers, search and paid advertising. Shape these and work with Suwon, regional and subsidiary teams to bring these to trial. ·Develop plans for the development of Ecommerce capabilities, tools, functional and UX change for MX based on direction from ETO D2C Senior Director direction. This could involve innovations, enhancements and optimisations in areas such as; chat, AI commerce, trade-in, financing or merchandising. The role holder will develop the concept, brief and will collaborate with platform and delivery teams (acting as ‘business sponsor’) to facilitate launch in a timely manner. ·Identify new routes to market through the process of research, evaluation and/or collaboration with relevant PIC’s in Suwon and subsidiaries where Samsung is under-represented or where there is a material sales opportunity. This will involve developing new capabilities, and partnerships (with companies in relevant industries e.g. finance). This requires experience in business development, negotiation, relationship management. ·Development of strong and productive relationship with senior leaders to support, trial and launch the initiative (and then facilitate progress to launch)! Deliver Emerging Channel Innovation ·Drive experimentation and rollout of emerging sales channels including live commerce, shoppable video, and social commerce integration. ·Discover opportunities to showcase influencer-led selling, affiliate partnerships, and commerce models focused on the community ·Lead cross-functional pilots that test these models with measurable important metrics and scalable plans for expansion Advanced Personalisation and AI-Driven Commerce ·Champion the adoption of AI/ML tools to enhance personalization, dynamic content delivery, and predictive merchandising What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: ·Extensive experience in Ecommerce / D2C / Digital, with demonstrable experience of motivating change across a broad variety of levers e.g. performance marketing, merchandising, AB testing, offers, propositions, chat/messaging, capability change. ·Demonstrable experience and track record of driving Ecommerce / D2C / Digital channel growth. ·Experience with emerging commerce models such as live commerce, affiliate marketing, or social selling. ·Familiarity with digital experimentation frameworks, pilot design, and rapid test-and-learn methodology. ·An appetite for learning – curious and innovative with a can do attitude. ·Numerate and analytical with the ability to accurately and quickly interpret data to be customer and insight led. ·Ability to build strong, productive relationships in a matrix, multinational environment with excellent influence, communication and presentation skills. ·Tenacity, resilience with an unquenchable thirst to achieve and drive progress and growth. What does success look like? ·Achievement of sales targets. ·Strong year on year growth across target metrics. ·Execution of key capabilities and initiatives defined under annual / multi-year growth plan. ·Bringing a multitude of sales innovations, optimisations and enhancements to trial and launch with demonstrable positive impact on sales, such as live commerce and personalized selling. ·Strengthened driven edge through differentiated, tech-enabled commerce experiences. ·Building strong relationships with Ecommerce/Online leaders and teams across the European subsidiaries and Suwon teams.
