Account Manager
Sheet Metal & Fabrication
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager on behalf of our client. You will need experience in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing/ engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and providing technical sales support for custom fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities as Account Manager
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within manufacturing, construction, engineering, and industrial sectors.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
* Review customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
* Prepare quotations and proposals for sheet metal fabrication projects.
* Coordinate with production, engineering, and estimating teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Conduct customer visits, presentations, and follow-up meetings.
* Negotiate pricing and contracts while maintaining profitability targets.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
* Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
Requirements as Account Manager
* Previous sales experience within sheet metal fabrication, metalworking, or manufacturing and engineering.
* Strong understanding of fabrication processes including laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
