Job Description
FUNCTION:
To verify that the Denholm Industrial Services management system (DMS) is being implemented to address the health, safety, environmental and quality policies established within the Company and ensure also that all Client, Statutory and Regulatory requirements are being complied with through constant monitoring of the system, its processes, and procedures, through audit, review and assessment techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The HSE Advisor is responsible for the implementation and management of Health, Safety, and
Environmental (HSE) systems at the Portsmouth site and other designated locations, as directed
by the Project Director and HSEQ Director. This role ensures the company’s compliance with
regulations and statutory requirements through thorough documentation, regular audits, and
continuous review.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementation and Awareness:
* Implement the Document Management System (DMS) and ensure full compliance by all staff through regular awareness talks, audits, onsite inspections, and reviews.
* Promote and uphold the Company HSEQ Policy at all times.
* Site Walk Rounds:
* Attend all necessary site walk rounds as directed by the Project Director and QHSE Manager to monitor and ensure HSE compliance.
* Audits and Risk Assessments:
* Conduct regular audits and reviews of all safety system elements.
* Ensure that comprehensive risk assessments are completed and considered in advance of operations.
* HSE Reviews and Improvements:
* Participate in reviews concerning HSE issues, overall progress, trends, and identify areas for improvement.
* Safety Coordination:
* Ensure all Project Management personnel on-site effectively employ HSE systems.
* Ensure all audits and inspections are conducted progressively, findings are acted upon, and documentation is maintained to safeguard the company’s position.
* DMS Records and Deliverables:
* Ensure all DMS records, requirements, and deliverables are identified in advance and agreed upon with the client before project work begins.
* Safety Equipment and Permit to Work:
* Ensure all safety equipment and personal protection measures are used effectively.
* Ensure that all permit to work systems are fully understood and adhered to.
* Weekly HSE Initiatives:
* Implement the DIS Weekly HSE Initiatives and reporting, including training personnel on their use and objectives.
* Process Confirmation:
* Oversee the Process Confirmation procedure for the Portsmouth site and support its implementation in other business regions as required.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The HSE Advisor reports directly to Glen White (Project Director) on a day-to-day basis and communicates with the HSEQ Director and appropriate Directors of Operations as required.
PROFILE:
The HSE Advisor shall be fully conversant with statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to the workings of the Denholm Industrial Services Division and shall identify and undertake regular training to keep abreast of all changes in legislation and regulations.
GEOGRAPHICAL AREA:
Travel may be required within the UK to cover the regional DIS offices and construction activities. All necessary expenses will be covered by DIS to enable these works to take place.
