Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 SCPHN School Nurse to join the BDCFT School Nursing Special Needs Team, leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and driving key public health priorities within SEMH schools across the district.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of universal and targeted school nursing interventions for children in specialist SEMH settings.
* Ensure equitable access to preventive healthcare, health promotion and early intervention.
* Shape and support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within SEMH education settings.
* Assess health needs, deliver evidence‑based interventions and signpost or refer to specialist services when required.
* Lead and mentor junior colleagues, supporting and challenging practice to maintain safe, high‑quality service delivery.
* Manage your own School Nursing caseload and act as a role model within a mixed‑skill team.
