Position Overview
Web/Software Developer is primarily a Full Stack Developer focused on the front end (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and back end (.NET/SQL) development of the .NET Web Platform, powered by Optimizely CMS and Commerce. The main responsibility is to work on new development of the Web Platforms and support the platforms with a proactive approach to deliver development to best practices and resolve issues. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, the Developer will be involved in all aspects of the Development process from advising on requirements, working with the team to provide technical solutions, and improving development through process or code solutions. Experience with integrated platforms (Headless/API) is essential.
Essential Functions
* Ensuring Web Development is delivered efficiently and effectively
* Documentation (Confluence) and Best Development Practice
* Research and Knowledge of the EPiServer platform roadmap
* Development Operations of the Web Platform (Optimizely CMS/Commerce)
* Improving the monitoring/fault finding to find/fix issues with the Web Platform
* Development Release Process from Development to Live (Deploy process)
* Input into the Release notes and Communication to the business
* AGILE Development (JIRA) to ensure that major incidents, bugs, issues, changes and new development is delivered against the business demands/goals
* Sharing work within the Development Team SPRINT
* Supporting Communicating to key global stakeholders to ensure the business has full knowledge of the status in Web Development
* Managing Transition Handovers to CMS/Commerce users (Web Managers)
* Updating business on incidents and known issues
* MVC .NET Application Developer (CMS and Commerce experience)
* Ensure the relationship with Optimizely Services is used to best potential at all times
o Technical Adviser
o Optimizely Support and Forums
* Supporting the Test/QA process to improve and reduce any risk out of Development
* Dev Ops, Integration and Architecture of the Web Platforms
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years Full Stack MVC .NET Development (.NET/SQL)
* 3+ years Front End Development (HTML, CSS, Java, Frameworks)
* 2+ years in a Support/Operations environment (Monitoring, Finding and Fixing)
* Developing Integrated solutions (API, Web Services)
* Experience with Cloud platforms
* Experience with working on Web CMS/Commerce platform
* Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), using agile scrum and Kanban methodologies
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to communicate at the technical, business and personal levels (written & verbal)
* Effective time management and organization
* Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Experience providing detailed high quality technical documentation
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
* Ability to work in a remote team, attending morning SCRUMs and communication on MS Teams during the working day
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong business acumen, analytical, management, and problem-solving skills
* Experience with Azure preferred
Working Conditions
* This is a hybrid role
* As a global business, you may be required to attend meetings and communicate outside of the standard working hours, along with the possibility of travel to any of the global offices.
