Key Account Manager
Location: Hull, UK (Office-Based)
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Key Account Manager to join our growing team in Hull. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of established, warm accounts while supporting the onboarding and development of new clients generated by our sales team.
Working closely with both the Operations Manager and Sales Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence, and contributing to the continued growth of our business. In addition to account management, you will be actively involved in supporting our UK road freight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with key client accounts across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale sectors
- Oversee freight movements across air, sea, and road, ensuring efficient and timely delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling queries and resolving issues promptly
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of shipments
- Support the sales team in onboarding new clients and transitioning accounts into active management
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase revenue
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on account performance
UK Road & Fleet Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of UK road freight operations
- Assist in overseeing a fleet of six Class 1 vehicles based at our haulier’s yard in Hull
- Manage and track Proof of Deliveries (PODs) to ensure timely completion and accuracy
- Liaise with drivers, providing support and ensuring efficient route execution
- Help coordinate general UK freight forwarding activities, ensuring operational efficiency and service quality
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics (air, sea, and/or road)
- Strong account management or customer relationship experience
- Working knowledge of UK road transport operations is highly desirable
- Experience with CargoWise would be beneficial, but is not essential
- Understanding of customs clearance processes and UK port badge requirements would be advantageous, but not necessary
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with both operations and sales teams
- Commercial awareness with a focus on client growth and retention
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset
