Job Purpose
To provide professional advice and service to all clients.
Effectively manage policy events following compliant processes ensuring that all customers are dealt with professionally and fairly.
To retain existing customers and write new business by the continual development of relationships and delivery of excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Account Executives and other stakeholders in the business to determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
Provide quality service to clients, covering all details of their insurance arrangements, to advise, review, arrange and secure the appropriate cover at a competitive premium.
Build effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists to maximise business opportunities.
This is to be achieved through:
Reviewing the adequacy of covers and suitability of the terms being offered to clients
Constant communication on file progress between you and the relevant Account Executive / Stakeholders
Provision of quotations as directed
Preparation and issue of risk registers / pre-renewal agendas / submission / renewal reports for issue to client / insurers
Documentation checking prior to issue
Post processing within timescales, Group Broking procedures and to company standards
Computer records, accurate creation and maintenance ensuring completeness
Diary / Tasks - accurate use and maintenance
Whilst at all times ensuring:
Renewal procedures are followed per Group Broking Procedures
Group accounts procedures and queries are complied with
Open communication and liaison maintained with all other departments within PIB
Continual professional development (self-driven) completed within all relevant aspects of the industry
Continued growth and expansion of product knowledge and technical expertise
Identification, reporting and resolution: breaches / complaints / E&O and to respond positively to Quality Assurance
Other duties as and when required

Maintain your ‘propriety’ at all times-this relates to good repute, honesty, integrity and financial soundness. This includes advising the firm of any changes in circumstances and conflicts of interest that could materially affect your fitness or propriety.
Have undertaken or are undertaking all relevant training.
Compliance of Fitness & Propriety will be evidenced through PIB’s annual checks on Fitness & Propriety (e.g. financial soundness), through annual performance reviews and through completion of your Fitness & Propriety Declaration.

Qualifications
Essential: Cert CII Qualification
Desirable: Dip CII Qualification or above
Experience
Essential: 3 years minimum experience of placing and advising on complex Commercial classes of business
Desirable: 5+ years experience of placing and advising on complex Commercial classes of business
Knowledge
Essential: Good technical knowledge of Commercial Combined and large Motor Fleet Insurance
Desirable: Good technical knowledge of Freight and Hauliers Liability
Skills
Essential: Excellent Organisational and Time Management skills. Excellent Negotiator
Desirable: Experienced coach and mentor. Experienced user of Acturis system
