Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Master’s degree in Pharmacy
2. Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
3. Diploma Pharmacy Practice
4. Independent prescriber
Desirable criteria
5. MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice
6. Recognised management qualification
7. Evidence of formal management training
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
8. Significant clinical pharmacy experience in an acute setting
9. Experience of managing a small team
10. Excellent ability to manage change within the pharmacy department and within medical and nursing teams to drive service improvements
11. Experience of working as a specialist pharmacist
12. Demonstrates strategic thinking
Desirable criteria
13. Evidence of publishing in a peer reviewed journal
14. Evidence of collaborative regional work
15. Experience of delivering research projects and influencing changes in practice
16. Evidence of managing and developing a pharmacy service or section.
17. Experience with drug expenditure reporting
