We're working on behalf of a successful Main contractor based in the Sevenoaks area to find an experienced office manager to join the team, working on a range of new build schemes across Kent & Sussex. They have enjoyed a successful 2025 and moved into the next year with multiple new schemes starting toplement the existing projects. As a result of the expansion, they now seek a confident, motivated office manager the day to running of the head office and support the various departments within. Based in the Sevenoaks area, they work from a newly refurbished office housing 15 people acrossmercial, technical and design teams. This is a hands-on, all‑rounder position—perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being the go‑to person in the business.
Your new role
This is a dual role providing a range of front office support and back office technical assistance. You will provide professional front‑of‑house support, including managing telephone enquiries, reception duties, greeting visitors, and arranging refreshments. The role requires coordination with various contractors to ensure the consistent upkeep of office environments, alongside the management of office,mon areas, and PPE supplies and broader facilities functions. It further includes supporting administrative operations such as SharePoint activity, monitoring shared inboxes, maintaining rigorous document control, overseeing shared calendars & managing the training matrix. You will also be expected to assist with the surveying, contract management and buying departments as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working as an office manager within a main contractor or local SME. You will be a confident self-starter who likes the buzz of a busy office but is also happy working independently toplete your workload. You will be organised, practical & versatile and befortable working in a fast-paced environment.
