Plus generous defined benefit Civil Service pension
This role is dual banded, pay bands 8/9, where pay band 9 represents fully meeting all competencies, allowing for development within the role.

The role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll:
* Design and implement analytical workflows to extract meaning from complex datasets.
* Use techniques including data transformation, visualisation, statistical modelling, and data science to generate insights.
* Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Support the development of analytical methodologies, systems, and processes.
* Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and the wider organisation to ensure data meets business needs and is accessible via the OfS data model.
* Build and maintain self-service data applications for internal and external users.
* Advocate for an evidence-led culture and contribute to enhancing the organisation’s data capability.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* A strong communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Logical, analytical, and pragmatic in problem-solving.
* Experienced in working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiar with the modern data stack and agile working practices.
Essential skills and experience
* Strong SQL and/or Python (or equivalent language).
* Experience with application of artificial intelligence solutions, statistical methods, data modelling, cleansing, enrichment, and/or visualisation.
* Knowledge of Databricks or similar platforms.
* Understanding of GIT and version control.
* Awareness of government DDAT capability framework for data analysts.
* Ability to manage projects and deliver at pace.
* Competency in communicating and influencing across diverse audiences.
