Key Responsibilities
* Manage warehouse operations, resources, and customer service within the branch, including line management responsibility for the General Assistant team.
* Ensure all areas of the warehouse conform to Health and Safety legislation.
* Work to deliver a balanced performance across key business metrics and KPIs in line with business goals.
* Ensure the branch is fully compliant with standards to maintain balanced performance.
* Lead, coach, and develop teams to build skills and capabilities for now and the future.
* Hold regular reviews to strengthen colleague engagement and support development.
* Work with the Operations Manager to create a robust succession plan.
* Recruit effectively to attract future talent.
* Deliver daily briefings to communicate key objectives and measures.
* Average of 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am-6pm, and alternate Saturdays 8am-4pm.
Skills and Experience
* Excellent communication skills to develop customer and colleague relationships.
* Leadership experience in warehouse operations with a customer-first attitude.
* Knowledge of recruitment processes.
* Understanding of P&L, stock booking, and inventory management.
* Strong ability to identify and resolve Health and Safety issues.
* Ability to review, challenge, and develop colleagues to achieve their best.
