Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to load and unload materials from lorries.
* Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing goods.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment, identifying any mechanical issues and performing basic repairs as needed.
* Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
* Assist in heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Experience
* Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is essential.
* Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as basic maths skills for inventory management.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems is advantageous.
* Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair is desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely is required.
