Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum plus benefits
A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a range of infrastructure projects across the Highlands and Islands.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will have full commercial responsibility for civil engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
* Commercial management of civil engineering projects
* Cost planning, budgeting and financial forecasting
* Preparation of valuations, variations and final accounts
* Procurement and management of subcontractors
* Contract administration (NEC preferred)
* Risk and opportunity management
* Accurate monthly cost/value reporting
* Liaison with project teams, clients and stakeholders
* Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff
Candidate Requirements
1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (not a prerequisite)
2. Strong civil engineering background (will consider different sector experience)
3. Good working knowledge of NEC contracts (JCT desirable)<...
