About The Role
We’re looking for a passionate person to join our Butlin’s team in our onsite food warehouse as part of our Buffets department. Our teams create unforgettable experiences for our guests, and we are currently seeking an excellent team member to join our warehouse team.
You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our food deliveries into the resort’s Catering Stores, accept and reject deliveries effectively and efficiently according to our food safety policy, and organise and store fresh, frozen, and ambient deliveries, ensuring FIFO is always followed.
You will liaise with the Lead Chef on duty regarding food orders, maintain a high level of cleanliness, ensure effective stock management in compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations, and support weekly stocktakes using our inhouse system. You will also help manage our food cost budget through efficient stock management and communication, and develop relationships with suppliers to meet our requirements.
Working alongside a fantastic team, we will support you to gain skills and confidence to excel in your role.
A forklift license is essential for this role. A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is advantageous, and full training will be provided for all warehouse duties.
About You
If you have a warm, friendly manner and love chatting with people, we can teach you the ins and outs of working in our team. Previous experience is welcome but not required. You should be interested in working in a busy warehouse environment, committed to delivering consistent results, with a hands-on approach and the ability to build relationships across departments.
Being a great team player and enjoying a busy environment are essential. You should be adaptable, willing to try new things, and enjoy interacting with diverse people.
You should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
The typical working hours are 35 hours per week, with shifts between 6 am - 3 pm, five days a week, including weekends.
