Wayman Education is recruiting a Finance Officer for a dynamic primary school in Haringey. The Finance Officer will lead transactional duties such as purchase ledger processing, income and lettings invoicing, bank reconciliations and basic payroll support. This Finance Officer will support budget-monitoring activities and help produce regular finance information for the leadership team and governors. The successful Finance Officer will be expected to begin January 2026, with induction activity scheduled in the weeks leading to January 2026.

Main duties
* Maintain accurate purchase and sales ledger records and ensure supplier payments are processed promptly.
* Undertake daily banking tasks, reconcile accounts and manage income for trips, lettings and school events.
* Assist with payroll administration, pension paperwork and staff expense processing.
* Prepare clear management information to support the SBM with budget monitoring and forecasting.
* Provide documentation and support for audits and statutory returns.
Person specification
* Demonstrable experience in finance administration, with excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
* Competent with finance systems and spreadsheets; school finance experience is advantageous.
* Methodical, reliable and able to meet deadlines, with good communication skills for liaising across Haringey teams.
* Available to start January 2026 and to take part in a thorough handover and induction.
