Operations Manager, South Yorkshire. £35,000 – £40,000 per annum 28 days holiday, pension, meals on duty, free car parking.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of something special at this highly rated and established independent hotel on the South Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire border. The hotel has been under the same ownership since 2002 and during this time they have invested into the hotel and in 2018 opened a spa within the hotel grounds. The hotel has a nice business mix with strong corporate base midweek, with spa, weddings, events and leisure stays on a weekend.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our team and oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, managing budgets, maintaining operational standards, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with department heads to coordinate activities across housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve service quality and profitability.
* Managing staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
* Building strong relationships with guests and addressing any issues that may arise.
* Monitoring financial performance and preparing reports for the owners.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role within the hotel industry.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Knowledge of business and management principles.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
