Overview
Shipston-on-Stour Primary School, part of The Stour Federation, is looking for an excellent, full-time Year 6 teacher. The current class is shared by one teacher who will begin maternity leave and one who is retiring at Christmas. We are keen to hear about your professional experience and what you can offer. We are seeking an inspiring and professionally thoughtful candidate who can use a range of pedagogical techniques and appropriate strategies to meet the needs of all children. You must enjoy working as part of a supportive team who care for each other, our children and our whole community. We are a two form entry school, so you would have the support of a Year colleague to work with, as well as a full-time Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for Year 6 that aligns with the national curriculum.
* Use a range of pedagogical techniques and appropriate strategies to meet the needs of all children.
* Collaborate within a supportive team, including a Year colleague and a Teaching Assistant.
* Work as part of The Stour Federation to contribute to an exciting, extended and dynamic curriculum that connects learning beyond knowledge.
* Incorporate ICT in an integrated way to support planning, teaching, tracking of the curriculum and classroom activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Good experience of working in school.
* Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum.
* Creative and passionate about learning with high expectations for children’s outcomes.
