Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Stores Person to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stock activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to handle lifting, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Duties
* Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accurately logged and accounted for.
* Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed at all times.
* Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move goods around the warehouse as needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong skills in shipping and receiving processes are desirable.
* Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus but training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
* A proactive approach to materials handling and stock management is essential.
