Job Title: Hourly PA / Care Assistant
Location: Leatherhead, Guildford
Start Date: ASAP
Work pattern: 36–48 hours per week, weekday and weekend shifts: Mon 8am–9pm, Tue–Fri + Sun 8am–8pm, Sat 8am–6pm
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour
Care experience: Not essential – full training will be provided.
About Our Client
Our client has just graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford, with a Degree in Sociology. She has Cerebral Palsy, is a full‑time wheelchair user, and requires help with daily living, personal care, physiotherapy, and swimming. She enjoys outdoor activities, cinema, crocheting, family time, cooking, and swimming.
About the Job
You will provide academic support and health and social care. This role goes far beyond simple care work and includes social activities such as cinema, meals, and other general activities. The opportunity offers meaning and job satisfaction.
About You
* Hold a clean automatic driving licence (as you will be driving the client’s automatic vehicle)
* Be patient, caring & kind towards the client and their family
* Physically fit, not overbearing, and respectful of the client’s privacy
* Have the ability to work independently and take initiative
* Have a good sense of humour and be calm under pressure
* Have good and clear communication skills
* Be fluent in English
* Be clean and tidy in appearance and habits
* Be able to adapt to changing care requirements
* Be an animal lover
