The Kite Academy Trust is a family of nine primary schools across Surrey and Hampshire. The Trust is committed to working as one team, sharing expertise to ensure every pupil receives an excellent education and an equal opportunity to thrive. The Trust formed in October 2015 with five schools coming together and has been on a rapid journey of improvement. Most schools are now rated Good or Outstanding. We are looking for an exceptional Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) to work with the leaders of our business service functions—HR, Finance, Estates and IT—to ensure consistently excellent outcomes for our schools. You will work closely with the CEO and executive team to set strategic objectives and ensure delivery, reinvigorating our functions and leading with the Trust's core values of positivity, integrity, respect, resilience and aspiration.
Responsibilities
* Provide clear and balanced expert financial and operational leadership to the CEO and Board of Trustees.
* Develop and implement systems and processes to support growth and enhance current operational practices across HR, Finance, Estates and IT.
* Strategically manage resources, drive efficiency, and support the Trust’s mission and safeguarding commitments.
* Lead and develop teams, foster a collaborative culture, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Develop and monitor performance indicators and reporting to support decision making at executive and board level.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven strategic leadership experience in Finance and Operations, with a track record of delivering successful projects.
* Experience in or strong understanding of the education sector and MAT context is preferred.
* Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
* Ability to develop systems and processes to support growth and improved operational practices.
