Main duties of the job
Role Overview: As a Band 6 Hand Therapist, you will work closely with patients referred from orthopaedics, primary and secondary care, as well as self-referrals. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing expert assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for hand and upper limb conditions.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
o Contributing to the development of evidence-based practice.
o Participating in in-house training and development programs.
Requirements:To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
o A minimum oftwo years’ experienceworking at Band 5 level.
o Willingness to participate in7-day working on a rota basis.
o Ability to drive, hold a clean driver’s license, and have access to a car for work purposes.

Person specification
Qualifications
* HCPC Registration
* Member of BAHT
* Evidence of BAHT or other relevant courses
Experience
* Hand therapy experience
* Worked as an outpatient therapist in the NHS or in a system comparable to the NHS
* Experience with custom made thermoplastic and neoprene splinting techniques
* Experience of working in hand therapy outpatients at Band 6 level
Skills
* Ability to teach & supervise Junior staff & assistants
* Independent manufacture of variety of bespoke static and dynamic splints
