Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide high-quality support to clients in their own homes. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about assisting others and making a positive difference in their lives. The position involves delivering personalised care and assistance, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients across a variety of care needs, including assisted living, dementia care, and hospice support. Duties
* Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal Care (hygiene), dressing, and mobility
* Providing specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
* Supporting medication administration in accordance with healthcare plans
* Preparing nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements
* Engaging clients in meaningful activities and behaviour management strategies
* Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Monitoring health status and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals
* Providing emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
* Handling heavy lifting or physical assistance when necessary to ensure client safety
Skills
* Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings
* Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior and hospice care
* Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and behaviour management techniques
* Ability to administer medication safely and effectively
* First aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided
* Valid driving licence for transportation duties
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages, including children when applicable
* Physical stamina for heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
* Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
* Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life
