Overview
Currently this post involves weekend working on a resident shift, but this is under review and the specialty will provide an update if this is to change. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of a seven day a week service however this can be delivered flexibly to maintain work life balance or support a specialist interest at a tertiary centre.
Responsibilities
* To maintain the highest clinical standards in Cardiology.
* To provide outpatient services in general Cardiology and subspecialty services as agreed after appointment.
* To share with colleagues the provision of Cardiology advice to medical and surgical inpatient's.
* To work with colleagues, both medical and nursing to improve and advance the service.
* To share with colleagues the responsibility for the management of the department.
* To share with colleagues the responsibility for teaching and training of Resident Doctors, nursing colleagues, primary care and medical students.
* To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
