We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Colliergate shop as a Shop Manager to be responsible for managing all shop activities to help to maximise financial contribution for St Leonard’s Hospice. Based in York City Centre, the Colliergate shop sells high-end fashion items and has recently gone under a transformation to help spread the word of the Hospice’s work. As Shop Manger your duties will include: Providing excellent customer service Stock management Pricing and ticketing Merchandising Fully supported by our Retail Head Office team, leading and managing colleagues and volunteers will be integral to your role on a day-to-day basis. This will also include the recruitment, training and onboarding of volunteers to ensure the shop follows good working practice. In order to fulfil this role, you will need: Excellent customer service skills Stamina A creative eye Excellent display skills and innovative ideas to boost shop takings Basic administration and PC skills Currently trading Monday to Saturday, the Colliergate shop would ideally suit someone with previous charity retail/ retail experience, however we are happy to consider candidates from any background within a customer facing organisation. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7.
