Head Chef role at Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you’ll be responsible for managing all kitchen teams and back-of-house F&B spaces as well as menu creation across all outlets while driving the business to achieve the budgeted KPI’s.
What You’ll Do
* Lead a large, dynamic kitchen team in a high-paced environment.
* Oversee food production and kitchen operations, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Drive innovation and create a culture of menu development for multiple cuisines.
* Ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas, EHO & HACCP.
* Manage costs from labour to COS% while maintaining the quality and integrity of the menu.
* Lead by example to empower and support your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
* Adaptable with systems and processes to suit different venues.
* Drive the overall guest and team experience as a core focus of your leadership.
What We’re Looking For
* 2+ years’ experience in a similar Head Chef role in a busy, hospitality environment with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority.
* Proven track record managing large kitchen teams across multiple outlets.
* A true passion for creativity while maintaining the integrity of brand standards.
* Managerial skills to achieve budgeted KPI’s in labour and COS%.
* Strong interpersonal skills to act as the face of culinary for cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team culture.
